Following last year’s première, the second edition of Musikmesse Festival will offer Musikmesse 2017 visitors and exhibitors, not to mention all music aficionados, a multifarious programme of events from 5 to 8 April. “Music brings people together. And this dynamism is to be seen not only at Musikmesse with its exhibitors, trade visitors and musicians from all over the world but also at Musikmesse Festival, where the city, organisers, partners and initiatives join forces with exceptional musicians to celebrate the variety and fascination of music-making for four days”, says Detlef Braun, Member of the Executive Board of Messe Frankfurt Exhibition GmbH.

The Brandworld is split into four sections: ‘Drum Camp’, ‘Drum Brand Area’, ‘Drum College’ and ‘Drum Academy’.

Musikmesse 2017 (5 to 8 April, Frankfurt am Main) will be featuring a new highlight for fans of modern and traditional woodwind and brass music, in the shape of Beck’s Wood & Brass Stage. In collaboration with the organisers of the open-air festival “Woodstock of Brass Music” (“Woodstock der Blasmusik”), Messe Frankfurt will be presenting a high-quality programme on all four days of the fair, featuring high-profile bands and ensembles from the scene. And on the last day of the fair, Saturday 8 April, the finale of the “Copa Kapella” competition will be held, which provides up-and-coming musicians with an attractive platform.
Yamaha to once again present the company and brands in the entire Portalhaus building

Musicians and professionals from the musical-instrument sector will once again be able to discover Yamaha’s extensive portfolio of products at the coming Musikmesse. For the second time, the renowned company will occupy the entire Portalhaus building of Frankfurt Fair and Exhibition Centre to present Yamaha instruments and the Yamaha brands, Bösendorfer, Line 6 and Steinberg. Thus, the presentation will be located at the western entrance to the Exhibition Centre – and cover an area well in excess of 1,000 square metres.

The International Trade Fair for Musical Instruments, Sheet Music, Music Production and Music Business Connections will provide a comprehensive overview of the latest products on the musical instrument market coupled with an interesting complementary programme of events. Tickets are now available via the Musikmesse website. Visitors who buy their admission ticket online profit from a significant discount over the price on arrival at the fair.
Zildjian GEN 16 DIRECT SOURCE PICKUP SENSOR
The Direct Source Pickup (DSP) is a two-piece system consisting of the sensor (attaches to the cymbal) and LED light module and preamp section (attaches to the cymbal stand / Hi-Hat stand). The DSP captures the pure acoustic sound of a Zildjian Buffed Bronze cymbal while eliminating feedback, crosstalk, and phasing associated with microphones. They are perfect for live performances and practice. It can also be used with traditional acoustic cymbals with the slight modification of adding a rivet hole near the bell of the cymbal.
