Presented by Gretsch® in 2014 the Catalina Ash features newly-designed hardware components and Gretsch-formula ash shells for a contemporary look and sound. The 6-ply ash shells are produced without reinforcement rings and have 30-degree bearing edges with 2.0mm triple-flanged hoops. Sonically, this Gretsch shell specification produces a focused tone that has a strong attack, balanced low-end and loud dynamic range.
