A highlight for all drummers:
At the new Drum Camp (Hall 11.0, stand C11), top drummers will demonstrate their touring sets, sign autographs and answer questions about drums and percussion instruments.
Mikkey Dee – the Mortörhead drummer and current Thin Lizzy tour drummer. Brian Tichy – Drummer of The Dead Daisies and Ex-Foreigner and Velvet Revolver member.
Mike Terrana – is one of the world’s best-known drummers. He has played with many artists including Rage, Yngwie Malmsteen, Tarja Turunen and Axel Rudi Pell.
Jost Nickel – is known primarily for his work with Jan Delay. He can also be heard on albums by Jan Josef Liefers, Marla Glen and Johannes Oerding.
Karl Brazil – member of Feeder indie rock band and session drummer for many stars including Robbie Williams, Elton John and Olly Murs.
Marko Duvnjak – drummer with Andreas Gabalier.
Dirk Brand – member of Germany’s Axxis rock band.
Manni von Bohr – Drummer of Birth Control.

The Sweat, Blood and Tears Box
50 square-metre sound-proof cabin in the middle of Hall 11.0 – eight performances a day by master drummers – intensive and live.
Drum talks
After their individual performances, the Drum Camp stars will be available to sign autographs and answer questions about their sets and techniques.
Additionally, there will be a daily master class by Jost Nickel – the Jan Delay drummer will pass on his playing-technique expertise.
Drum Camp Showroom
An exhibition of the original drum sets of all artists participating in the Drum Camp. Authentic backstage flair is generated every 60 minutes when one of the sets, including the drum podium, is prepared for its artist’s performance and taken by roadies to the ‘Sweat, Blood and Tears Box’ Box.
Drum College
Room Granat , Hall 11.0
In the Drum College, Manni van Bohr impart expert knowlegde. He will talk about e.g.Tuning and Microphoning. On top there will be a Masterclass by Jost Nickel.
Artist Lounge
All artists will be available here for meet & greets.
Gear Corner
Expert advice for beginners and advanced learners at the Gear Corner from the professionals of Session Music: on show will be different types of drums, each for a different musical genre – from e-drums, via jazz models, to a heavy-metal kit. Visitors can test the individual drum sets under expert guidance and learn about material selection, the influence of the different woods used on the sound and about useful equipment.
The performances, drum talks, master classes and advice at the Gear Corner are free of charge for all visitors.
