Dom Famularo has been traveling the globe preaching the gospel of drumming for over 30 years. An intense performer, Dom is one of the most respected solo drum artists in the world, with a career built solely upon his unique skills as a drummer, educator, author and motivational speaker.He has presented master classes and clinics around the globe in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Chile, Argentina, Columbia, Venezuela, Uruguay, Peru, England, Ireland, Scotland, France, Germany, Belgium, Holland, Luxembourg, Austria, Switzerland, Portugal, Spain, Norway, Sweden, Poland, Denmark, Russia, Israel, Serbia, Greece, Italy, Hungary, Costa Rica, Honduras, Puerto Rico, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Taiwan, Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, Turkey, Canary Islands and South Africa.
Paolo has worked with many artists.In the studio, among many others, with Vasco Rossi, Laura Pausini, Biagio Antonacci, Francesco Renga, Negrita, Franco Battiato, Adriano Celentano, Irene Grandi, Renato Zero, Gianni Morandi, Andrea Bocelli, Mina, Patty Pravo…Live with Gianna Nannini, Negrita, Irene Grandi, Vasco Rossi, Claudio Baglioni and many others.Paolo is also a clinician and a teacher at Music Academy 2000, he is also responsible for writing the drum curriculum for all the levels currently delivering.
Marco Iannetta nasce il 4 settembre 1974 a Zurigo in Svizzera.Inizia a studiare la batteria all’età di 15 anni, prima con l’insegnante Lello Fazio e successivamente con Bruno Rizza, per poi approfondire lo studio con Lele Melotti. La formazione didattica di Marco è arricchita dalla frequentazione di ogni tipo di drum clinic con i grandi batteristi sia stranieri che nostrani (Vinnie Colaiuta, Dave Weckl, Virgil Donati, Marco Minnemann, Dennis Chambers, Mike Portnoy, Steve Gadd, Lele Melotti, Simon Phillips ecc..). Contemporaneamente suona in diverse cover bands nei generi musicali rock, pop, blues.
Nato il 27/04/73 a Pescara, figlio d’arte, inizia a suonare la batteria a soli 6 anni. Ad 11 anni si classifica 3° al concorso per musicisti Disma; due anni dopo è 2° allo stesso concorso.Comincia gli studi musicali all’età di 15 anni con il M° Roberto Polito . Consegue contemporaneamente due qualifiche professionali nel mondo dell’elettronica e colleziona esperienze incredibili nel mondo del Service, approfondendo la conoscenza nell’utilizzo di hardware Audio e Luci.
Siamo alla seconda edizione di Batterika, anche quest’anno un grande successo! La location, il Lanificio Factory in Roma, è molto apprezzata sia dagli artisti che dagli espositori, i molti eventi che si susseguono uno dietro l’altro hanno riempito le sale gremite di spettatori e la musica pervade tutta la struttura.
Chi di noi non ha mai ascoltato album come “The sound of perseverance”dei Death o “The fragile art of existence”dei Control Denied notandone il drumming notevolmente ricco, creativo ed imponente?Un pò tutti credo vero ragazzi? Quindi ho pensato che una bella chiacchierata con Richard Christy fosse la cosa migliore da fare e così ecco qua una bella intervista nella quale andremo a scoprire il percorso batteristico,ble opinioni e, soprattutto, l’esperienza vissuta con il compianto Chuck Schuldiner proprio dalle parole dello stesso Richard:
Currently on tour with rock legend Alice Cooper, Glen Sobel has played in a variety of genres including rock, hip hop, pop, metal, punk, and fusion. In the last couple years he has played, toured, and/or recorded with gigs ranging from hard rock (SIXX A.M. featuring Nikki Sixx of Motley Crue), pop/r&b (tour with ELLIOTT YAMIN- American Idol finalist with one of the biggest hits of ’07 ), instrumental fusion (Glen played on guitar great PAUL GILBERT’s new DVD), to studio TV work (Glen plays drums on the new version of the MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL theme on ESPN).
Pete Lockett is one of the most versatile multi-percussionists currently in the world, having immersed himself in percussion and drums from every part of the globe. The wide range of artists he’s worked with reflects the diversity of his playing. He has recorded and or toured with hundreds of artists.
An interview to Virgil Donati at Sound Wave Festival 2011 in Italy, Monte San Giovanni Campano powered by Alatri in Blues.Virgil Donati was born on 22 October 1958 in Melbourne, Australia of Italian descent. He got his first drumset at age 2. He started playing soon after with his father’s showband, and kept on doing these shows until he was around 6 years old.He joined his first major rock band and signed with his first major record label at the age of 15. The band was first called Cloud Nine, but was later renamed Taste, with whom he recorded 3 albums. Soon after at age 16, Donati left school focusing mainly on the drums, but also piano. At age 19 Donati travelled to the U.S. to study with Philly Joe Jones, and at Dick Groves School in Los Angeles. He also took lessons from snare drum specialist Murray Spivack.
