Glen Sobel in tour with Alice Cooper

Currently on tour with rock legend Alice Cooper, Glen Sobel has played in a variety of genres including rock, hip hop, pop, metal, punk, and fusion. In the last couple years he has played, toured, and/or recorded with gigs ranging from hard rock (SIXX A.M. featuring Nikki Sixx of Motley Crue), pop/r&b (tour with ELLIOTT YAMIN- American Idol finalist with one of the biggest hits of ’07 ), instrumental fusion (Glen played on guitar great PAUL GILBERT’s new DVD), to studio TV work (Glen plays drums on the new version of the MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL theme on ESPN).

Virgil Donati – Sound Wave Festival 2011

An interview to Virgil Donati at Sound Wave Festival 2011 in Italy, Monte San Giovanni Campano powered by Alatri in Blues.Virgil Donati was born on 22 October 1958 in Melbourne, Australia of Italian descent. He got his first drumset at age 2. He started playing soon after with his father’s showband, and kept on doing these shows until he was around 6 years old.He joined his first major rock band and signed with his first major record label at the age of 15. The band was first called Cloud Nine, but was later renamed Taste, with whom he recorded 3 albums. Soon after at age 16, Donati left school focusing mainly on the drums, but also piano. At age 19 Donati travelled to the U.S. to study with Philly Joe Jones, and at Dick Groves School in Los Angeles. He also took lessons from snare drum specialist Murray Spivack.

Dennis Chambers – The time keeper

Pur essendo un autodidatta Dennis Chambers è molto rinomato per la sua tecnica, specialmente come batterista funk e fusion. Ha suonato, in studio o dal vivo, con John Scofield, Steely Dan, Carlos Santana, Parliament/Funkadelic, John McLaughlin, Bob Berg, Mike Stern, Niacin, e altri.Fu un bambino prodigio, iniziando a suonare la batteria all’età di 4 anni e a esibirsi dal vivo nei locali dell’area di Baltimora a 6. Nel 1978, a 18 anni, entrò nel gruppo dei Parliament/Funkadelic, con cui rimase fino al 1985.Dennis sarà al Crossroads Live Club per la terza tappa italiana del lungo tour degli HBC Super Trio, Domenica 23 ottobre alle 21:30 insieme a Scott Henderson e Jeff Berlin.

PHIL MER – Dove comincia il sole Tour

Nato il 13 – 10 – 1982 tra i monti dell’Alta Badia, in provincia di Bolzano, Phil Mer si avvicina alla batteria all’età di 4 anni. Partecipa al suo primo lavoro teatrale all’età di 19 anni con il musical “Pinocchio” con regia di Saverio Marconi. Da sempre grande appassionato di storia dell’arte è laureato con 110 e lode in Scienze dei Beni Culturali all’università Cattolica a Milano.

Gavin Harrison Rhythmic Designs Tour 2011

Gavin Harrison è un batterista inglese, che ha fatto parte di varie formazioni internazionali ed ora è un membro del gruppo britannico Porcupine Tree ed è anche dal 2008 batterista dei King Crimson.Da piccolissimo inizia a suonare la tromba, volendo seguire le orme del padre, ma con scarsi risultati, così viene rapito dalle potenzialità della batteria e a 6 anni ha già le idee chiare: vuole diventare un batterista professionista.
