Atte Palokangas, drummer of Thunderstone, Agonizer, Wreck On, Among The Prey, Frustrated Bastards is now in tour with the BEAST IN BLACK as their new permanent drummer and worthy successor for former drummer Sami Hänninen who left the band recently. Planet Drum met him during the concert in Rome, Italy.
Anche quest’anno si è svolta a Roma il 29-10-2017 la Fiera musicale “Musica expo” con diversi spazi destinati all’esposizione e alle prove di numerosi strumenti musicali, la presenza dei maggiori marchi al mondo tra cui Yamaha, Ludwig, Vic Firth, Pearl, Roland e tanti altri, ha permesso di far provare a tutti gli ospiti della Fiera i nuovi e i vecchi prodotti del mercato.Numerose sono state le esibizioni e le clinic svolte su i diversi palchi della fiera che hanno visto partecipi numerosi artisti e ci ha fatto molto piacere vedere l’esibizione di una nostra vecchia conoscenza, Livio Campus batterista sardo che nel 2011 ha partecipato al nostro concorso World Drum Contest 2011 vincendo un endorsement completo con la Vic Firth offerto dalla ditta Aramini strumenti musicali.
The Dire Straits Legends was born from the love and passion for the music of Dire Straits, and its mission is to bring that music to fans who have been starved of hearing it played live, for far too long.Since the band played its last gig on the On Every Street tour in 1991/92, the musical genius that is Mark Knopfler prefers to leave the Dire Straits songs behind him and play his more recent songs from his solo career. We respect that – he’s moved on – but the fact is: the world misses Dire Straits!
Thomas is not only a great progressive rock/ heavy metal/ fusion drummer but he is also extremely good in other styles like jazz and funk. He loves to groove, and it has been his main focus throughout his drumming career. Being well versed in any style of music and knowing how to read music very well he has added new sets of abilities to be among the best drummers. He writes music, produces music, and plays other instruments (guitar, bass guitar, piano, and he even sings). He knows about electronics, about sequencing, and even other percussion instruments. He is a sought clinician and has created The THOMAS LANG DRUMMING BOOT CAMP and the BIG DRUM BONANZA that will be held this year on July 5th- 9th, Palm Garden Hotel – Thousand Oaks, CA.
Hunt, nato in Florida nel 1971, ha collaborato, tra gli altri, con Zakk Wylde, Black Label Society, dopo aver suonato con Static-X, Mötley Crüe, di recente con Vasco Rossi, fino al suo ultimo progetto Rival City.Nel prossimo show del Blasco potrebbe, però, vedere sul palco una band in parte rinnovata: Will Hunt potrebbe non essere con Vasco Rossi al Modena Park per un conflitto di impegni.
